Our Trip To Riviera Maya Mexico

Last December 2019, my wife and I went to Riviera Maya, Mexico to attend the grand opening of the Barcelo Maya Riviera 5-star all-inclusive resort. We had the honor to be present for the march of the military and to be blessed by the local Priest. The Barcelo staff was very happy for the grand opening of this hotel. At the beginning they
raising the Mexican flag while the military was singing the Mexican Anthem. Then one of the executives from Barcelo was saying thanks for being present at this important moment for them.

Everything was well coordinated from the Barcelo’s staff and we really enjoyed the special occasion.

In the evening, my wife and I attended the French Restaurant called La Comedie, a la carte restaurant that operates at night. It is a delicious and elegant restaurant that you can not miss if you go to the Barcelo Maya Riviera. The staff are well trained which enhanced our experienced..

Right after going to the La Carte Restaurant, we went to the evening show where we enjoyed an international show for that evening. Each night they announce a different show which is certainly a unique characteristic from the Barcelo’s.

The next day, we went to the Miramar Restaurant that operates for Breakfast and Lunch every day and it’s unbelievable the variety of food (a taste for every body)

We enjoyed attending the 10-minute Dolphinarium show, which is presented every day at noon. We were fascinated by the jumping dolphins. At an additional cost, one can even have the option of swimming with the dolphins as well.

As part of this resort, we also had access to 6 hotels in the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort complex, where we ventured out to check out the scene of other restaurants, bars, pools, and entertainment shows. We were able to move around the hotel by walking or taking the free shuttle bus which runs every 3 minutes within the hotel. We opted for the easy breezy shuttle option when my wife or myself were feeling a fit tired.

In 3 days, we were able to recharge, connect with nature, and enjoy each other’s company amid the fabulous amenities. We definitely recommend this resort to our clients. We are already dreaming about going back! If you would like to take your children with you, you still have the option to enjoy this incredible complex by staying at the 5-star Barcelo Maya Palace or the 4-star Barcelo Maya Complex.
